I have moved to Vancouver in 2012, after having experienced from both sides the allure, selling out, and ultimate destruction brought upon cities and men by latter day capitalism. So, there’s that, brothers and sisters thrown to the wolves, and there’s those doing the throwing, mostly decent people using the same paper thin justifications and often under increasing capitalist pressure themselves. And then there’s the city, the young people, the bus drivers, the daily interactions, the little things that catch my attention and that often make Vancouver’s betrayal of its people all the more poignant and sad, for those of us who’ve seen it all before.
